Salivary secretory disorders are life-disrupting pathologic conditions with a high prevalence, especially in the geriatric population. Both patients and clinicians frequently feel helpless and get frustrated by the currently available therapeutic strategies, which consist mainly of palliative managements. Accordingly, to unravel the underlying mechanisms and to develop effective and curative strategies, several animal models have been developed and introduced. Experimental findings from these models have contributed to answer biological and biomedical questions. This review aims to provide various methodological considerations used for the examination of pathological fundamentals in salivary disorders using animal models and to summarize the obtained findings. The information provided in this review could provide plausible solutions for overcoming salivary disorders and also suggest purpose-specific experimental animal systems.  相似文献

As global air pollution becomes increasingly severe,various types of fibrous filters have been devel-oped to improve air filter performance.However,fibrous filters have limitations such as high packing density that generally causes high-pressure drop and ultimately deterioration in the filtration effi-ciency.High-pressure particulate matter precipitators are limited in terms of scope for commercialization because they require high voltage supplies and ozone generators.In this study,we develop fibrous fil-ters with enhanced durability and improved performance using metallized microfibers decorated with metal-organic-framework(MOF)nanocrystals.Not only does the efficiency of the developed filters remain at or above 97%for 0.50-1.5 μm PMs but the durability also significantly increases.In addi-tion,using the water purification ability of the MOF,we explore the dye degradation effect of the hybrid microfibers by immersing them into Rhodamine B aqueous solution.In such an experiment the Rho-damine B aqueous solution is completely purified by the presence of the hybrid microfibers under the UV irradiation.  相似文献

为研究爆炸冲击波对破片穿孔后板结构的毁伤效应,使用激波管为冲击波加载设备,对不同孔形的预制孔铝板进行冲击波加载.利用三维数字图像相关(3 D-DIC)技术,分析固支预制孔方形铝板在冲击波加载条件下的动态响应,得到预制孔铝板的动态响应和变形失效过程.结合3 D-DIC结果分析孔形对靶板刚度、破坏形式、承载能力的影响.结果表明:圆形孔靶板刚度最大,圆形孔靶板的极限承载能力最大,菱形孔靶板极限承载能力最差;孔形对撕裂破坏的影响主要体现在孔的角点在靶板分布上.该实验结果对固支板结构的抗爆设计具有一定参考价值.  相似文献

It is well known that probiotics are effective in relieving inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). However, their exact mechanism is still unclear. Herein, we evaluated the effect of novel Lactobacillus plantarum BC299 on dextran sodium sulphate (DSS)-induced colitis model mice and investigated the molecular mechanism. We found BC299 could regulate immune response and reduce immunosuppression by enhancing the expression of Th1 T cells in cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppressive model mice. Meanwhile, DSS-induced colitis model mice were furtherly constructed. The results displayed BC299 can restore bodyweight and relieve colon morphology of colitis mice. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction results demonstrated BC299 can regulate immune response by reducing the expression of TNF-α and IL-1β mRNA and increasing the expression of IL-10 and TGF-β mRNA. Moreover, BC299 administration reshaped and increased the diversity of gut microbiota in IBD mice. Therefore, BC299 can alleviate colitis by regulating immune response and modulating gut microbiota.  相似文献

Weak acids inhibit the growth of probiotics, such as Saccharomyces boulardii. We explored the tolerance of S. boulardii to different weak acids. S. boulardii had better fermentation ability under lactic acid conditions compared with acetic and butyric acid conditions; however, the budding of S. boulardii was significantly stronger than that of Saccharomyces cerevisiae under acetic acid conditions. Although the surface structure of S. boulardii was destroyed, it produced more daughter cells. S. boulardii metabolites were also significantly different from S. cerevisiae under acidic stress. The growth of S. boulardii under weak acid conditions differed significantly from that of S. cerevisiae. S. boulardii-mediated fingerprints under weak acid conditions were identified as latent biomarkers, related to fructose and mannose metabolism, tricarboxylic acid cycle, and the glycolysis pathway. Identified biomarkers will aid in the genetic engineering of S. boulardii and other Saccharomyces strains for improved acid resistance and biomass yield.  相似文献

The phase pure ZnGa2O4 and ZnGa2O4 doped with Cr ions nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by the hydrothermal method, whose average particle sizes are about 10 nm, and the doping of Cr ions can slightly increase the particle sizes. The doping Cr ions can evenly distribute in the samples by the hydrothermal method. The infrared characteristic peaks of the products are in the range of 400–1000 cm?1. Blue emission is observed in phase pure ZnGa2O4, while NIR emissions are observed in the ZnGa2O4 products doped with Cr ions. ZnGa2O4:Cr nanoparticles have great application prospects in the field of biomedical imaging.
